Active Ragdoll Technology:
PlayForm tech powers Stan, our advanced physically simulated character, also known as an Active Ragdoll. Experience gravity, collision, friction, impacts, and all other physical challenges the world imposes like never before.
Play with the Least Limits:
Unlike other games which only play a canned animation, or use highly simplified rules, our character moves as though he’s aware of his surroundings and subject to their forces. The character is constantly figuring out what muscular forces to apply to keep himself standing upright and balanced. This makes interactions much more diverse and interesting.
Brace for Impact:
If Stan is standing on an object that suddenly begins to move, you’ll see him shift his weight to stay balanced, using his hands to get back on his feet if needed. If he is thrown into a wall – or a wall is thrown into him – he’ll brace for impact by reaching in the direction it’s coming from.
Experience True Freedom:
The balancing algorithm has been hand-tuned to allow for surprising responsiveness and agility. Each movement Stan calculates is unique to the situation he is faced with, and while sometimes he messes up in a comical way, at other times he does things that even surprise us. Often, he does things we don’t anticipate, seeming to improvise his motions in real time.
No Longer be Confined:
Choose from a variety of large open playgrounds to test Stan’s limits. Slide down hills, climb mountains, leap across gaps, or go for a swim in the ocean!
You are in Control:
Engage your creativity in sandbox mode by deg contraptions, levels, and challenges – your imagination is the limit. Enjoy a wide arsenal of tools, hazards and building blocks developed for your convenience by RunTime Industries; place them to your heart’s content, weld them together, bind them with flexible ts, attach high powered motors, etc.
Maximum Immersion:
Become immersed in a world that is fully physically simulated right down to the items held by your character. Objects react to the world with friction, buoyancy, and gravity to ensure proper physical interaction.
Physical Sound Simulation:
Realistic playback of audio samples using calculations based on an objects material, mass, speed, and angle at the time of collision. We use Steam Audio for Realtime Sound Propagation to ensure the audio is as detailed as it gets. Put on a pair of Headphones to experience binaural audio that places you in the soundscape.

Trailer’s music is pretty epic but doesn’t even remotely match the totally horrendous content. Who gets entertained by that stuff apart from the Devs is beyond me? They want us to get hyped about ‘next-gen physics’ but present us with some laughably unrealistic ragdoll action? At least they are lucid enough to call it a “experimental physics playground” rather than a game but still… Hard .
Who gets entertained??? basically every single gamer these days. Or did you, just in case, missed all the other thousand of trash titles released every day that are as bad as this one?? why do you think garbage titles keep being released? because people buy and play everything. Steam knows it, and they publish every single crap they find. They are by now probably the richest company over the earth. But if people could stop buying evrything and “liking” everything, or being so damn comformist, maybe just maybe things could start to change. But thats not gonna happen.
So, yup this “game” is trash, but its no different from other hundreds around. Sad? yes, but its the real truth and videogaming of this generation. Get used to it. Human fall falt was another garbage game, and yet it has been a complete success.. that should tell you all.
Well, look at that. It would appear that i totally agree with u at once. Only it doesn’t make me feel sad, but rather grumpy. To each his own.
And thats understandable because old gamers like me who actually played the golden age of videogames and that had witnessed the decadence of videogaming in this past decade-15 years, thanks to digital plattforms and social media shrinking the brains of kids from the beginning, are very angry seeing how things keeps getting worst before getting better. Gamers these days are so comformist that they will be ok with a mediocre or buggy or unfinished product and they will consider it “normal” for the times we live in. Disgusting, sad and discouraging, i know.
But dont worry there is always something positive and that is, that i dont waste any single $$ in ANY videogame (it doesnt matter if it is “worthy” or not) anymore. Piracy is not a problem anymore these days (companies gain so much money that piracy is basically invisible for them now) so they can keep releasing crap after crap i will keep testing games for free. Until i die.
I bought my 1st PC in 1984, so i guess we have a few things in common. lol However i did not find much interest in videogames until i started racing/rally games in 2004. I actually started buying games since COVID – although not related – essentially to race against others online and in leaderboards.
So what game which is not called ‘Stray’ would u warmly recommend me to play at the moment?
