Hi,
After I mount the ISO, run the setup give it a path and click install nothing happens. It shows 0% then just dissapears and greates an empty folder?
Am I doing this wrong, any solutions?

Hi guys… installed with no problems… buuut… when i launch dowser to disable mods (who are not working with that version of the game) it keep telling me “Steam runtime communication error” and that i can continue to the game but some features may not work. guess what to all DLC’s it says – Enabled but all are unable to dissable unless i use the Dissable all button and it’s just going on Verification on all DLC’s and i know that there is problem because the Sabaton songs are not all in there… any solutions ?
@leothrax the same is happening to me, for example, it is possible to open or run without the launcher, the problem is that I opened the game directly, making it impossible to use mods

Works for me, but how to change language? I already changed text from English to spanish in “hlm” file and I still have English. In localization folder there is files with spanish localization. Any idea?

If your game crashes at start, uninstall the paradox launcher and then reinstall it with the tool in base game directory.
done, now it tells me that steam needs to be running…
You need to set the .json file of the launcher to “pdx”, not “steam”. Look in the comments of the Man The Guns release for isntructives. Also, disable VSYNC in launcher before running hoi4. After hours of trying mine now works.

for those who experience crashes at start, open settings.txt at Documents\Paradox Interactive\Hearts of Iron IV
Change the settings for fullscreen and borderless to:
fullScreen=no
borderless=yes
it fixed my CTD. seems there is a bug if the game runs in fullscreen mode.

If you are ing the hoodlum games you will always have a virus problem. Unfortunately hoodlum does not fix this problem.
Hoodlum says this virus is false positive but if you don’t trust it you can it from another site and test it. Check the Hoodlum NFO.

-Abre o jogo uma vez e depois fecha
-Vai em meu computador e entra na pasta documentos
-Dentro do documentos tem uma pasta escrito paradox interactive -> Hearts of Iron IV
-Dentro da pasta Hearts of Iron IV tem um arquivo chamado settings. Abre ele
-Não tem uma linha language, tem que ser colocada manualmente.
-Na segunda linha do documento texto acrescente “language=l_braz_por”
-E pronto vai ta em português o jogo.

Guys to play with mods there is an easy fix that I used for EU4 as well:
– Go to your hoi4 install folder and edit the “launcher-settings.json” file with a text editor.
– In the third line ” distPlatform”: “steam”, replace steam with pdx.
– To play you now need to run the dowser.exe file (run as ) and you’re good to go
@989MHH your fix allowed me to run the launcher and play the game from it, but I still can’t get mods to run, any other suggestions? I tried changing recommended version numbers in the text files of the mod and enabling them with no problems, but they won’t show up ingame. They work with Man The Guns but not La Resistance
Check your mods. Most are still on 1.8 They are waiting for 1.91 to finalize before updating. Example Road to 56 isn’t updating till the 7th. Kaiserrech not updating until 1.91 final. Old World Blues same.

Though if you’re playing Old World Blues, you must place this mod as first in the launcher even if you have no other mods active. If you don’t it crashes on loading screen.

Cant seem to play in full hd the screen keeps freezing, i have to alt tab to refresh it.
