@ Ethos, I’m thinking that you probably have Control enabled in your Windows OS and it’s probably preventing you from having full access that would allow you to make changes to certain files, especially when it comes to editing things with Windows Notepad or Wordpad, or replacing certain files with newer versions.

Once you have it disabled, it will allow you to have full privileges without the limitations of being restricted from making the changes you want to make to certain files, among other things that you could do with having full privileges.

Ok I got that part down now, but it says the I can’t overwrite because its a protected file.
@ Ethos, one of two things you could try: 1) Restart you PC and see if you have full privileges by trying to edit and save the steam_emu.ini file again. If it doesn’t allow you to save or make the changes you want, then look at the next step here:
2) This step involves using the Command Prompt to add yourself with your name (the name you use or is associated with your PC) as an with full Privileges.

Replace the part of the command to enter where it shows v4L in the command line parameter with your actual name. So for example, if your name on your PC is David or Bob or whatever, you would use that as your name. You do not need to enter a for your name when you create an with full access. The only time you would create a for yourself is if anyone other than yourself uses your PC and you would restrict access or limit it to what programs and other things you would give permission and rights for someone else to use. So entering a is not necessary for this purpose if you’re the only one who uses your PC.

@ Supah, have you had or experienced any problems with using your fightstick when playing any other fighting games before, or is it just with this game?
Have you thought that the possibility for why your fightstick might not work with this game could be that the game itself does have for fightstick.
If you have a generic gamepad or Xbox controller for Windows lying around somewhere that you could use, try using that and see if it makes any difference in how the game s it.
If either the generic gamepad or Xbox controller is detected by the game when you plug it into a free USB port, then the problem is not with your fightstick, it comes down to what type of gamepad / controller the game itself s.

If you are using a ps4/ps3 controller you need a program to convert it to Xinput (360). I use XOutput and it works great for this game, you can find it on GitHub.
@ lulzmoon, That’s actually a pretty useful utility / tool to use that you mentioned there, and I was going to suggest another tool that the original poster with the Fightstick could use, which is called antimicro which is a portable Windows game controller mapping tool with a GUI interface that works quite well with generic gamepads and Xbox Controllers. You can even use it with games that have very limited or no controller . Antimicro is an open source github project that allows you to create and map out keyboard and mouse controls that you could assign to any buttons, triggers, shoulders, or additional buttons on your controller and save it to a game profile for whatever game you happen to be playing at the time.
The beauty of Antimicro is it gets updated quite frequently, and the only reason that I have not suggested it before, is that I’m not sure of the extent of controller outside of the controllers that I know that I have tested myself that work on it. I’ve only tested generic and Xbox controllers for Windows, and I’m not sure if it s console controllers like PS3, PS4, or Fightstick, but if a utility such as the one that you mentioned called XOutput works great, then there is a strong possibility that it just might have a wider range of for other types of controllers as well, like the Fightstick.

Yo, I ed xinput and im having a hardtime mapping the axes. When I try to map it with my stick, it only has one option for both AXIS UP AND DOWN analog. How did you do it?
I’m so glad that the game developers decided to use a game publisher like XSEED Games, and not Xbox Game Studios. Reason being that if the game developers had decided to go with having their game published by Xbox Game Studios, it most likely would only be able to run under a Windows 10 environment with a specific build version, and that kind of BS really peeves me off.
Which is why I appreciate the fact that smart game developers who decide to go with game publishers who aren’t Microsoft or Xbox Game Studios can spread their game across previous Windows OS such as Windows 7, and 8, so that gamers can enjoy playing the game regardless of what Windows OS they happen to be on without having to be forced to Windows 10 and requiring a certain build version just to be able to play the game.
Any game publisher who publishes games just for Windows 10 only, doesn’t realize that there are still a few people who are on previous Windows OS like 7 and 8 who don’t want to be forced to Windows 10 just to be able to play a game. After all, it’s not just the OS that makes these games playable, it’s the hardware and system specs of one’s own PC that runs the games we like to play.
How do you play online ?
@ Drake, the ability to play online isn’t possible with this game. If you wanted to play online, you would need to purchase the game from Steam.
Most of the games here on this site are cracked by Scene Release Groups, and unless one of these groups specifically includes a patch that allows for the ability to play online, that information would be included in the NFO for the game, along with the usual instructions on how to apply the crack, as well as an online patch (if one was included) to be able to play online.
The game’s NFO file can be viewed directly on this site at the very top of this page that you are looking at, just click on it to view it. Also, NFO files are supplied with the games too and can be viewed and read with either Windows Notepad or Wordpad. This applies to every game that is listed on this site.

@kemdirim22, What does the fatal error show you? Does an error box pop up with a message or a random error code that you can physically see? Can you try to reproduce the error again, and take note of any error messages or error codes if it shows anything? It may be helpful in pinpointing what could be causing this to occur when you launch the game.

@JOSEPH K ADIELE, if you leave me with your PC’s system specs, like whether you are running the game on a gaming desktop PC or laptop, as well as telling me what U, GPU (or graphics card for desktop PC), and Windows OS you are running on, that would be a great help in determining what the root cause of your fatal error could be.
If you happen to be using Windows 10 with an older or the latest up-to-date build please mention what build number you are using, and list your PC system specs in the comments of this game page. @bruh21, any game updates, including any DLC for any of the games that are listed on this site will appear at the top of the game page and directly under where it shows: LIST OF ALL UPDATES FOR.
In addition to that, before you actually click on any game shown from the main page of this site, any new or current updates for any games will be shown in two primary places, before or after any New Game that has been added to the site, and also directly off to the right-hand corner of where you see the currently logged in , right underneath the Category the shows Recent Updates.
You can also click on both CHECK UPDATE and NFO to see what updates and DLC (if any is included, and update version was released by the Scene Release Group).

@billy, sure, just uninstall your game, make sure your anti-virus or windows defender is temporarily disabled or turned off so that it doesn’t flag the game installer and crack as a false positive and tries to quarantine it, and then run the game installer again, but this time check the box next to where it shows: Copy contents of CODEX directory to installdir.
Doing that will ensure that all contents from the CODEX crack folder will get automatically copied over to the path and directory you told the game installer to install the game to, and as long as you ed to turn off or temporarily disable your anti-virus or windows defender, it won’t try to interrupt the installation of the game and crack files and try to move it to quarantine.
Once the game and the crack files have been successfully installed, you can enable and turn on your anti-virus or windows defender again.
