I scanned with Bitdefender, all files are clean. I think the best in the world doesn’t make mistakes 🙂 You should use a better, more reliable antivirus software instead of Windows Defender.

Aren’t that a bit too many strange happenings and issues for a proper release? Even besides the virus discussion? Also it was stated the first patch is 66 GB in size, this is only 1,28 GB. Was this included in the initial FLT release? That is nothing which could be done be just compression or anything.
The Xdelta patching system splits large update files into small pieces. It calculates the difference between 2 files and releases an update accordingly. So as you said, it focuses on the part to be updated in the update file which is 66 gb. Unfortunately, some AVs see this patching system as a virus.

Well, in the end its the same old question between the costs or the risks; there never is a guarantee. But as far as I , this site never let me down so far. If it is the patching system in question, over at Malwarebytes they confirmed this program is known for triggering false positives and added to their white list. So since it’s apparently gone I’ll ask here, what happened to Baldur’s Gate 3? Was gonna it and it’s nowhere to be found, even the link in the banner just gives a 404
@SKIDROWCODEX might be interesting the virus/false positive is only found when trying to install (which most likely is the cause it fails for many people due to their av blocking it) and not when just ing, unpacking and the scanning the files … there is an anomaly.exe copied to the install dir which is the file which triggers this issue and does so for most of the virus total scanner (maybe including bitwarden, i do not ). does not sound like a patch engine but a group intro or something unless they renamed it.
Hello, when I launch the setup.exe of the update of the game, it opend the ANOMALY screen, at this moment everything goes well, but the updating bar is stuck at the beginning, I mean I see a green stick inside it but it doesn’t grow. I played the game beore updating, and I’m in high quality so I don’t think it’s my computer’s capacity. Do you know how to fix this ?

Ok so if you disable AV or defender when you extract the files and run the setup it works and onto the next part of the installer. Tooky pc about 500 secs (there’s a counter) and it seems to finish without errors (some words pop up but I couldn’t see anything about failures or errors) then the installer closes. But when I run the game I get a global shares error and have to reinstall the game. Then it’s basically rinse and repeat. So any suggestions?
